Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account data: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares.

Business profile: the business name, contact details, licence number, terms, and logo you choose to add to your quotes.

Quote data: the quotes you build, including the customer names, addresses, and line items you enter, plus acceptance records (name typed, timestamp, and IP address) when a customer accepts a quote.

Billing data: subscription status and identifiers from Stripe. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.

Usage data: basic, aggregated analytics about page visits so we can see which pages are useful.

How we use it

We use your data only to run the service: authenticating you, saving and rendering your quotes, generating PDFs, emailing quotes to the customers you choose, hosting shareable quote links, enforcing plan limits, processing subscriptions, and answering your support requests. We do not sell your data and we do not use your quote or customer data for advertising.

Who we share it with

We rely on a small number of processors that handle data on our behalf: Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage; Stripe for payments and subscription management; and Resend for sending quote emails. We may also disclose data if legally required.

Shareable quote links

When you share a quote, we generate a link containing a long random token. Anyone with that link can view and accept that single quote without logging in, so only share it with the intended customer. These pages are excluded from search engine indexing.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage that are necessary to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Retention and security

We keep your account and quote data for as long as your account is active. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is restricted at the database level so that only you (and anyone you send a share link to) can see your quotes. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Your choices

You can view and edit your business profile and quotes at any time in the app. You can ask us to export or permanently delete your account and its data by emailing theelectricalguide@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or restrict processing of your data.

Children and changes

The service is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and notify account holders.
